Lectures will be delivered on all subjects followed by study material. However, candidates are advised to go through civil service magazines of certain standard (like Chronicle, Pratiyogita Darpan) to keep themselves abreast of national and international developments.
Candidates in this class would be from different ministries. Some of them are required to answer a few questions on rules ‘specific to their department’.
Example:
- Candidates from I.B., would face a few questions from their own standing orders.
- Candidates from railways have a set of certain rules and their own manual.
- MEA has a special set of rules like PLCA, etc.
- Defence ministry has ‘Financial Regulations-I’.
- All these candidates are advised to get hold of respective special rules and study them.
Notes on all subjects will be provided. As far as the subject ‘General Studies’ is concerned, we deliver lectures and provide study material covering nearly 80% (Constitution, Govt. Machinary, Parliamentary Procedure, Right to Information act, 2005). However, General Studies being very vast subject, candidates are advised to keep themselves upto-date with regard to General Knowledge i.e., developments taking place around us in India and Internationally. On other topics i.e., Programmes and Schemes of Govt. of India, Indian economy, etc. Study material is provided.
For the rest i.e., ‘Current Affairs’, we provide some expected questions and answers.
As far as third paper (Noting and Drafting, Precis Writing) is concerned, practical method of approach is explained in the class. Home work, on each item, is given and tests are conducted.
Amount of fee charged from candidates is for the whole course which includes study materials provided during or after the lectures.
